Senior Administrator

Working as part of a positive and growing team at Northumbria Financial Management Ltd, who are an Appointed Representative of St. James’s Place Wealth Management Plc.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a professional Senior Administrator to work in Durham City.

You will be part of a fast-paced, progressive and forward-thinking practice, managing the work generated by the advisory team within the Practice and offering support as required. Our business is well established, and highly successful. You will be employed by the Practice and full training and support will be provided.  Car parking is also available at our office.

The Role – Senior Administrator

You will be providing a high level of technical and administrative support, while maintaining an excellent level of client servicing to the clients of the Practice.

  • You will be a point of contact for clients and third parties dealing with general enquiries
  • You will be responsible for business submission using bespoke software
  • You will need to ensure that business obtained is being processed in a timely manner
  • Due to the nature of the business, tasks must be completed within appropriate timescales.

You will be given full training and will have the opportunity to progress within the SJP Accreditation framework.  Further opportunities within the Practice may be available for the appropriate candidate.

A structured 12-month programme established with the aim of developing individuals within SJP Partner Practices to become Diploma Qualified Paraplanners who can support the advice process from beginning to end.

The Person – Senior Administrator

This is an interesting and challenging role that would suit a confident, numerate and professional individual who enjoys using their initiative and who has a “can do” working style.

  • Having experience in Financial Services would be an advantage, although not essential
  • You should be a highly motivated individual who shows initiative and enthusiasm
  • You should be able to work with little or no supervision
  • You should have exceptional time management skills, with the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload to complete conflicting demands, in order to meet deadlines
  • You should have excellent communication skills, are confident in liaising with third parties and can work with total discretion
  • You should be a sound decision maker
  • You should have profound IT skills and adapt efficiently to new systems
  • You must understand confidentiality and can apply the principles in everyday working practice.

A relevant qualification such as the FPC or progress towards the Level 4 Diploma would be an advantage, but is not essential for this role, as training is given within the Practice and also external training is provided also for the right candidate.
