Join us to celebrate Durham’s incredible independent businesses.
The City has so much to offer from amazing fashion, homeware and professional services, to outstanding cafes, restaurants and arts and crafts.
Shop locally, shop InDurham.
As part of Independents InDurham, we’re collaborating with Durham Markets to bring you ‘Fiver Fest’ between Friday 30th June and Monday 3rd July.
Come on down and visit the many participating independent retailers to get your hands on a bargain you can’t find on any other high street – only in Durham and for just £5 or multiples of £5 too!
Did you know, if each household in Durham City with a DH1 postcode were to spend just £5 each week with local independents, it would put a staggering £4.6 million into the local economy.
Now there’s something to think about…
I've been established as business since 2002, based in Fowlers Yard since 2009.
I am a fine artist, specialising in printmaking. I sell original hand-crafted prints, created from copperplate etchings. There is a wide range of work on display in my studio, and visitors can find out about the techniques and processes involved in my work.
Most proud of; the fact that everything I sell is hand-made and unique to me, and that I can survive as an artist in this difficult financial climate.
Unique selling point... is the artwork itself.
