Roddy Doyle comes to Durham Book Festival for the first time to talk about his impressive career and to introduce his brand new novel Smile. Roddy Doyle is the author of eleven acclaimed novels, seven children’s books and two collections of short stories. He won the Booker Prize in 1993 for Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha and his stage adaptation of his novel The Commitments has become a huge West End hit.
