Inspiring ways to celebrate your heritage and support your place of worship
This event is open to anyone involved in engaging people with their heritage from community groups to building historians and interpretation specialists and everyone looking for creative ways to make churches and other mixed-use heritage sites more sustainable. There will be plenty of time to network with like-minded delegates.
Our speakers and workshop sessions will explore opportunities and challenges for making heritage work harder at active places of worship. Durham Cathedral’s staff and members of the Inspired Futures team, a project supporting working churches in the north east to find sustainable futures, will share their insights and provide inspiration to all delegates. We look forward to diverse and valuable discussions.
The conference will start at 9.45am, with registration and refreshments from 9.15amm finishing at 4.00pm. It will take place in Priors Hall, Durham Cathedral. Tickets are priced at £15 per person and include refreshments, a light lunch and access to the Open Treasure exhibition.
Tickets can be booked in person from the Visitor Desk at the West End of the Cathedral or by telephone 0191 3387179 as well as online.
With thanks to the Heritage Lottery Fund, supporters of Open Treasure and Inspired Futures.
