Here are the details of our summer school taking place during the first week of the holidays... we seek those with a mind for fun and adventure!
Date: Monday 23 to Friday 27 July 2018
Time: 10am – 4pm
Venue: University Building, Palace Green
A five-day theatrical summer school held within the fabulous surroundings of Palace Green and Durham Cathedral.
We welcome storytellers, performers, musicians and singers to work alongside professional actors and musicians to create a performance filled with bizarre tales, the strangest of characters and an atmospheric orchestra!
Be inspired by ‘Durham’s Oldest Mystery’ as we are guided on a tour of Palace Green Library’s new exhibition, Bodies of Evidence.
NOTE TO PARTICIPANTS: A packed lunch is essential, as well as plenty of water/soft drinks – plus an apple or two to sweeten up our actors!
NOTE TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS – and anyone else you manage to drag along! – you are invited to the premiere show on the final day, Friday 27 July at 2pm.
The show could be outdoors, so we ask our audience to make their way to Palace Green for 1:45pm. Bring picnic chairs too, as we will perform on Palace Green if the weather is being kind!
